What is the most important factor when it comes to door sealing? Undoubtedly, it is the gasket system which isolates the interior of the building from a cold or hot environment. In the case of the MakroPro 2.0 door series, the designers focused on providing the highest thermal protection in each part of the product.
The MakroPro 2.0 doors are fitted with the ThermoSet system as standard. It comprises a three-chamber, double-leaf side gasket that ensures proper insulation of the opening frame, a two-leaf gasket fitted to the top panel, and corner gaskets. They provide proper insulation in areas prone to heat loss.
With gaskets tightly fitted between the panels, the entire circumference of the door curtain is protected. Side gaskets offer full performance even in doors with ribs. All these solutions were developed especially for the MakroPro 2.0 doors.
High sealing qualities of the door decrease the cost of heating in the building. The MakroPro 2.0 design eliminates all the thermal bridges that could impair the insulation properties of the door. How did we manage to cut the installation time? It was possible thanks to solutions resulting from three decades of experience in the garage door sector.
During installation, drilling holes in walls takes a lot of time. At times, several attempts are required to reach a satisfying result. This can be caused by hitting a reinforcing bar or having to drill new holes in the opening frame. The MakroPro 2.0 door uses a set of double fixing holes in the opening frame, which makes it possible to comfortably drill the installation holes. Less drilling is required in order to ensure reliable fitting of the door to the lintel. This was made possible thanks to the placement of springs on the sides of the shaft instead of the middle.
There is no need to drill holes for the drive unit, either. A compact automatic operating unit is fitted directly to the opening frame. Because the opening frame does not transfer vibrations, the door provides increased comfort of use and guarantees quiet operation of the drive unit. This method of drive unit installation also eliminates the need to weld mounting plates when the door is fitted to a steel structure.
Designers at WIŚNIOWSKI provided a number of features facilitating fitters' work:
– tracks and opening frames are fastened together with screws, which enables accurate installation of the tracks in relation to each other and makes it possible to replace them,
– the rear crosspiece of the door serves as a gauge for determining the proper spacing of the opening frames of the door,
– arrows are punched into the opening frames of the door at the height of one metre to provide an easy indication as to where to fit the door,
– open structure of the mounting plates fixing the drive elements of the shaft facilitates the installation and servicing of the door (e.g. enabling quick replacement of springs).

The required garage depth and side clearance for the electric drive unit and chain hoist were decreased. This made it possible to increase the clear passage of the door.
Moreover, we introduced the new LHp tracks (low tracks with springs at the front for lintel N=280 mm) for indoor car parks and new automatic operating units for low tracks: drive unit on a track beam, Sommer base+, and tiga+.
With these drive units, a full clear passage can be obtained and an automatic door can be fitted in buildings with small side clearances.
Product safety is an area which requires ongoing development and elimination of weak points. As a door designed from scratch, yet based on the experience gained from previous designs, the MakroPro 2.0 was equipped with the best solutions ensuring convenient use without any concern for the safety of people.
A dedicated track with double profiling, made of 2 mm thick sheet with an additional safeguard preventing guiding rollers from derailing was designed especially for the MakroPro 2.0 door. The opening frame – also made of 2 mm thick sheet – was designed to prevent gaskets from slipping out.
The safety brake is a crucial piece of the compete door structure. Its design ensures maximum protection in case the load-bearing cables should break. This feature simply trumps other manufacturers' solutions.
A good door is all about the ease of use during the day and adequate protection against burglary outside of the working hours of the company. The internal safeguard preventing the door from being prised open, which is integrated with the brake, ensures a high degree of safety. It prevents the door curtain from being lifted from the outside, even when the intruder uses heavy force.
